Full Circle X has been a valuable tool for keeping the project team aligned, maintaining accountability and identifying potential issues before they impact the overall project schedule. It gives us a clear look at the work planned for the upcoming week, who is responsible for it and whether there are any issues that could affect the schedule.
The weekly report also includes a score that gives us a quick way to see how the project is performing. It’s not just about whether work was completed but whether the contractor is following through on the commitments they made in the work plan. Having that score gives the project team an easy way to see when things are going well and when we may need to pay closer attention.
We also have an established set point for the score that helps us know when action is needed. If the score drops below that point, it triggers a meeting with the contractor to talk through what is causing the issues and what needs to be done to get things back on track. This has been helpful because it allows us to address problems early instead of waiting until they turn into bigger schedule or project issues.
Overall, the Full Circle X program has improved communication, coordination and follow-through between the owner, construction manager, contractor, and subcontractors. It gives the contractor clear expectations, gives the project team a way to measure progress and creates a regular opportunity to address issues before they get out of hand. It has become a simple but effective way to keep everyone focused on the work that needs to be accomplished each week.
